7/9/2000 - Holy moly! I'm still alive! hehe. I'm not even sure
anyone checks this site any more, particularly you regulars who know
that RPS is now CLOSED. However, I thought I'd take
a minute and update you on the latest goings on with me, and
painting, and whatever. ;)
I'm happy to say that
things are going pretty well for me these days (in case you care
<G>). My job is great, I'm having fun, and I just got a new
19" Monitor. hehe. In the interests of moving up the corporate
ladder, I had to take a little break from painting for a while,
which is why the Alternative set has been basically stagnant up
until about a week ago. However, I am back painting
again, just in time to finish the set by the time Nascar4
comes out. hehe. Ain't that always the way,
though?
Regardless of when N4 gets released, I'm determined
to finish the alternative set. I think there will be a lot of people
out there who won't have the hardware required to run and enjoy
Nascar4, so they should still get plenty of use out of the
Alternative cars. I've released 2 more Alternative cars at
Sim-World, the #36 M&Ms car, and the #10 Lycos car...
too bad Johnny lost his sponsor right after I released it... Oh
well. ;)
For those of you who may have heard rumors,
I have been designing paint schemes for a driver
trying to break into the Craftsman Truck ranks. His name is
Brian Winters, and if you caught the truck race at Evergreen, he ran
in that event. Took a provisional and picked up 9 spots on the track
in about 45 laps before having engine trouble. Brian's a heck of a
guy, and I've been doing all I can to help him land a sponsor and
get him out on the track. Hopefully we'll see him out there soon.
I'll definitely post something here if I get word that he's
running in a race, regardless of whether or not one of
my paint schemes is used on the truck. ;)
Beyond that, I'm
basically just trying to get the painting house in order here and
get back to work. I'm most DEFINITELY looking forward to painting
cars for NASCAR4, I can't think of a single painter who isn't
drooling on his keyboard thinking about that 16-bit palette and nice
smooth, rounded body shape.
I did register the URL
ifreezn.com. I don't know what I'm going to do with that yet.
We'll just have to see. Just couldn't let some squatter get
their hands on it. ;)
I'm outta here, folks.
Take it easy!!
