Remembering Suzanne - Suzanne Friesen (7/31/1953 - 10/27/2005)



Minnesota, here we come!
As promised, we're headed back to Minnesota from Friday, May 19th until May 29th. We'll be holding a Comittal service for Mom at the Graceland Cemetery in Albert Lea at 11:00 AM CT. It will be followed by a reception at the Assemblies of God Church in town.

Hi Everyone. :) We're coming back to Minnesota from 5/19 to 5/29. And we've got a crew... Dad, Zach, myself, Brittany & Alan and their girls Hannah and Sara are all coming back. The main reason is to bring Mom's ashes home to be buried next to her parents in Albert Lea. We're also going to visit with as many of our family and friends as we can.

Commitment Service Details:
When: Saturday, May 20th @ 11:00 AM CT
Where: Graceland Cemetery - Albert Lea - (Google Map)

Reception Details:
When: Saturday, May 20th (following the commitment service)
Where: First Assemblies of God Church - Albert Lea - (Google Map)

Note: We're making arrangements to have some food at the reception, but we're not sure how many people are coming, so if you'd like to bring something to share, please feel free to do so. Please don't feel obligated, however. By now you all should know how to get in touch with my Dad. But feel free to email him.

I can't begin to tell you all how anxious we are to get back there and see everyone. Thanks for all the support you've all continued to show my Dad and our family over the past few months. Several times someone has called or emailed at exactly the time when we needed it, just to check in or to offer a word of encouragement. Thank you all so much. =)

I have something special for you; recordings of Mom's voice. These were taken from a casette tape that Mom & Dad made for Dorothy (Suzanne's mother) when she was battling bone marrow cancer. The tape is a combination of Grandma's favorite songs and some uplifting passages from a book called "Come away my beloved". Grandma was back in Minnesota, and we were living out here. We didn't really have the money to send Mom back often, so this was a way to reach out and minister to Grandma during her toughest times.

These are some of the excerpts from the tape with her voice on them. There aren't many, but they are precious reminders of her, and we want to share these. I hope that they fulfil their intended purpose, to uplift your spirit, give you hope, and bring comfort to you. Note: You should be able to play these with Windows Media Player, Quicktime, Winamp, or just about any audio file player on your computer.
